- The newly released FileMaker 11 Series ships with the following new and exciting features:
FILEMAKER CHARTS:
It is now possible to create eye-catching reports in five different styles including vertical bar, horizontal bar, area, line and pie charts. You can make high-impact web dashboards by publishing your charts to the web using Instant Web Publishing. These charts will update dynamically as the user browses the data.
Adding a chart is made very easy. While in Layout mode, use the chart tool to drag out a charting area. From there, the setup screen appears.
QUICK REPORTS:
In FileMaker Pro 11, it is now possible to make reports in spreadsheet like fashion. Information can be grouped and summarised on the fly directly in Table View. Quick Reports treats your data as if it were a spreadsheet. You can add fields and records by clicking a column or row and change a field’s type on the fly.
ENHANCED LAYOUT / REPORT ASSISTANT:
It is now easier than ever to create customised reports in FileMaker Pro using the Enhanced Layout / Report Assistant. A new streamlined interface guides you step by step in building reports with grouped data. Select Styles and Themes. Add Headers, Footers, Subtotals or Scripts.
SNAPSHOT LINK:
Another exciting new feature is the Snapshot Link. This feature gives you the ability to create a Snapshot Link file to save a specific set of records at a point in time. This Snapshot file maintains the sort order and layout that you set. You can also eMail this file to other FileMaker users for easy collaboration. Finally, if you eMail the Snapshot Link file to colleague and either you or they edit those records, the change will be reflected on the other’s machine.
